A brand is born

Sandborn Swim is a Southern California brand born in Venice Beach by veteran swim, active, & sportswear designer, Sandi Wise, and her graphic artist daughter, Stephanie Wise who began this bikini adventure during the pandemic lockdown year of 2020.

Initially designing and making bikinis for Steph (who wanted bikinis that not only looked cute but would stay on while she surfed) then evolving into making bikini’s for all her friends.

It soon turned into a business and partnership with Steph co-designing and managing marketing while Sandi co-designs, makes patterns, sews, and manages the business.

As we grow we will be manufacturing small batches in local factories, keeping our commitment to make our products strictly in the USA using only the highest quality materials.

Sustainability

Sustainability is important to us. That’s why we use dead stocks, recycled fabrics, and recyclable materials for shipping. We also give back to our favorite ocean protection groups; Surfrider Foundation, Heal the Bay, and Oceana who share our commitment to sustainability and planet health.

Community

We love our Venice community, it’s rich cultural & socioeconomic diversity, it’s vibrant & colorful creative vibe, and all the people that make it so special.

We look forward to highlighting the love here by collaborating with as many local artists and businesses as possible.

It’s all in the name

Sand = We love the beach!! Most of our vacations revolve around some sort of beach where there are good waves so Eric and Stephanie can surf and Sandi can chill on the sand 🙂

Born = Steph was born and raised with Venice beach as her playground and she continues to play there on a daily basis.

Sandborn seemed a fitting name for our brand.

SWIM because we love to be in the water! and we love creating swimwear!
